Go to the beach or Go to beach?

Hello, teachers:
I am wondering what is the right answer about " go to the beach" and " go to beach".
I gooled them and I found both .
But I still want to know I should say" go to the beach" or " go to beach" when I take an exam.
Could you confirm it ?

People 'go to the beach.'
They also go to the: store, mountains, devil, races, library, theater, door, corner, left, right, last house on the street and many more.
People go to: bed, sleep, class, church, practice, dinner (or any meal), and more.
